Product overview and installer notes

Top of the line at $536 MSRP, and the reader that takes every credential type we deploy: a phone with Mobile Pass, a new EV3 fob on 13.56 MHz, a ten-year-old 125 kHz prox card, or a PIN punched on the pad — all of it lands on one single-gang unit. We quote it where door policies are strictest — two-factor entries in buildings that still carry legacy cards.

Specs, firmware notes and availability change over time — confirm against the manufacturer’s current documentation before ordering.

When one door has to take everything

A mid-migration Chicago building usually looks like this: half the residents still on old prox cards, half already on phones, a cleaning crew on PIN codes, and an equipment room the board wants behind two-factor entry. That is four policies on one system — and this reader covers every one of them without an adapter or a second device on the wall.

The keypad modes mirror the dual-technology B-BSKF: codes alone for vendor doors, card-plus-PIN where a lost credential must stay harmless. The extra radio mirrors the B-BSPSF: legacy 125 kHz prox keeps working while encrypted 13.56 MHz credentials and Mobile Pass take over. It is both of those readers in one housing.

Practical notes

Single-gang mount on a standard box; housing sealed for year-round outdoor use; LED, beeper and Bluetooth indication so every read and keypress is confirmed; anti-tamper mounting that needs its dedicated key; 5-year warranty. OSDP connects it to Brivo panels with the full feature set, and Wiegand mode keeps it useful on third-party controllers.

B-BSPKF-B and B-BSPKF-W differ in color alone — black or white, everything else on the spec sheet is shared.

Common questions about the B-BSPKF

Which credentials does the B-BSPKF accept?

All of them: encrypted 13.56 MHz smart cards and fobs, legacy 125 kHz prox cards, phones over Bluetooth via Brivo Mobile Pass, and PIN codes on the keypad — alone or combined with a credential.

Is card-plus-PIN available?

Yes, per door: code-only, credential-only, or credential plus PIN as a second factor that neutralizes lost and stolen cards.

What distinguishes B-BSPKF-B from B-BSPKF-W?

The color — B is black, W is white. Same radios, same keypad, same sealing, same 5-year warranty, same $536 MSRP.

Do we need this on every door?

Rarely. Most projects mix it with simpler readers: B-BSPKF where keypads and migrations intersect, B-BSSF or B-BSMF where a plain modern reader is enough. We map that door by door during the walk-through.

Service, upgrade and maintenance

If you already have Brivo hardware on site and the system is unstable, we can audit it, fix urgent issues and plan upgrades step by step instead of forcing a complete replacement. This includes systems originally installed by other vendors.

We offer free estimates for projects in our service area. New service clients also receive a 50% discount on the first service visit for troubleshooting and diagnostics, including systems we did not install.
